The Roosevelt Doctor

Dr. Jack Resnick, M.D. was an internist who served the community of Roosevelt Island, NY for several decades before retiring in September 29, 2023.

He was also a community leader who founded The Main Street WIRE, the Roosevelt Island's community newspaper, and Main Street Theatre and Dance.

Dr. Resnick regularly made house calls to the homebound patients in Roosevelt Island, NY and provided them with medical care at home. His philosophy can be seen in his New York Times opinion piece, Bring Health Care Home.

Dr. Papanna Ravichandra, MD is continuing the legacy of Dr. Resnick by providing home health care services to the community of Roosevelt Island, NY.
